Subaru may seem an unlikely candidate for this powerful position, but his diffident manner belies his great skill and inner strength. He is matched only by the Sakurazukamori. | ||
| Subaru is by nature quiet and gentle, and more than a little naive. However, the violent conclusion of the bet has covered these qualities with a shell of cynicism and pain, grown heavier with the passage of years. It is interesting to note that in the fight at Nakano Sun Plaza, Subaru did not use lethal force against Seishirou. While he fought with great power and skill, the most he did to his opponent was to attempt to enclose him in a field of force. While the harming of others has never been a Sumeragi specialty, he could surely have used a more directly offensive spell - had he truly meant to kill the Sakurazukamori. Perhaps he is not capable of killing; or perhaps, in Seishirou's case, it is not his intention to kill. | ||
